â1957 â Elvis Presley's film Jailhouse Rock was released nationwide in theaters across America. Originally titled "The Hard Way," the movie featured the iconic dance sequence choreographed by Elvis himself and peaked at #3 on the Variety box-office chart, grossing $4 million. Watch the King

1971 â Led Zeppelin released their untitled fourth studio album, commonly known as Led Zeppelin IV. The band's highest-selling album featured "Black Dog," "Rock and Roll," and their signature song "Stairway to Heaven." It has sold over 23 million units in the United States alone.
